TRALEE-woman, Aislinn Kelly (21) has been presented with a University of Limerick President’s Award in recognition of the voluntary work that she undertook at Baile Mhuire Day Care Centre, Balloonagh, Tralee.
She was one of 270 students at the university to receive an award and she was one of the 60 recipients of Gold Awards presented by the President of University of Limerick, Professor Don Barry.
Aislinn, daughter of Aidan and Susan, is studying for a degree in Mental Health at UL and she gained valuable nursing experience while volunteering as a care assistant at Baile Mhuire.

The Nurse Manager at Baile Mhuire, Rose Daly, nominated Aislinn for the award and she said she was delighted to see a continuation of the tradition of volunteerism upon which Baile Mhuire was founded in 1988.
