FUNDING totalling €55,000 has been granted for 42 Tidy Towns groups in the county. It was announced recently by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring TD.
Tralee Tidy Towns will receive the largest allocation of €4,000, with Killarney getting €3,000, and €2,000 allocated to Dingle, Listowel Ballybunion, Abbeydorney, Kenmare, Killorglin, Cahersiveen and Castleisland. Many other villages received €1,000.
