Tralee Warriors Have Had Some Week

IT’S been a very good week indeed for Garvey’s Tralee Warriors.

On Wednesday, the Superleague outfit proved too strong for Keanes Supervalu Killorglin  in the final of the Premier Mens Final in the 47th Castleisland Christmas Blitz, beating them by 55 to 45

Last night they were in action again against UCC Blue Demons at home in Tralee Sports and Leisure Centre and again came out on top by 81 to 67.

The home side played in front of a capacity crowd again and didn’t disappoint against the champions. They didn’t have it all their own way though and trailed by 23-19 at the end of the first quarter.

However, by half time they had regained the initiative and went in 34-30 up. They pulled away in the second half and led 64 to 48 by the end of the third and the result was never really in doubt after that.

Garveys Tralee Warriors leading scorers were Trae Pemberton 25, Goran Pantovic 16 and Kieran Donaghy 13. Onwards and upwards then. As of early Saturday, they now lie in fourth place  in the table on 24 points, behind UCD Marian and Griffith Swords both on 27  and leaders Templeogue on 33.
