GOOD news from Tullamore tonight.

Tralee has won the Regional Category for Munster in the Bank of Ireland National Enterprising Town Competition tonight at a ceremony attended by over 500 people from towns all over Ireland at the Tullamore Court Hotel.

The national competition to find the country’s most enterprising town had  78 entries from 31 local/city authority areas.

As regional winners they receive a prize of €3,000. The judges visited Tralee and Listowel a month ago and by all accounts were very impressed with what they saw.

Mayor of Tralee Norma Foley and Aidan Kelly of Tralee Chamber Alliance were there to accept the award tonight.
