A TRALEE woman has invested over €50,000 in her new business which is billed as Ireland’s first intelligent fashion search engine.
Stylist Shauna Cashell, who has an online audience of over 67,000, has launched www.StyleSearch.ie which has been designed to ‘make shopping easy’, helping its visitors to make inspired fashion choices and spend their time and money wisely.
The site showcases the best fashion choices for every size, occasion and budget, across a whole range of major brands.
“Over the past four years, I have styled hundreds of women for their workwear wardrobes, special occasions and important events,” said Shauna.

“I have noticed that today we are overwhelmed with choice when shopping online and more and more people experience ‘choice paralysis’ due to too many options.”
“I spotted an opportunity to educate and help women balance their body shape and proportions with clothes that flatter and enhance their beautiful shapes, and this has been integral to the development of StyleSearch.ie.”
Originally operating under the name of 925style.ie, as Shauna’s business evolved and her online styling business expanded, it became apparent to her that there was a real need for a targeted online offering that would deliver personalised recommendations from hundreds of accessible fashion brands for shoppers.
“We launched a basic version of Style Search at the start of the pandemic. We had to quickly re-evaluate our business and pivot to ensure our survival. Since then, it performed incredibly well with over 100,000 visits over a six-month period,” she said.
“I also discovered that this personalised offering was leading to a significant reduction in returns for brands, decreasing the industry average return rate of 30 – 40%, to around 10% for my website visitors.
“This early success gave me the confidence to further invest in my new platform, which has been designed to help thousands of females shop online with confidence, receiving more personalised fashion recommendations that are tailored to them and their specific body shape.”
Winner of ‘Best Fashion Styling Consultancy 2021’ at the Irish Enterprise Awards, Shauna is also an alumni of the Enterprise Ireland New Frontiers programme and recently completed the Enterprise Ireland Going for Growth programme.
In 2019, Shauna was named as the nationwide runner-up in Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur Competition, run by the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs).
