Tralee Woman Wins €1,000 In Lee Strand Competition

THERE was excitement galore at Lee Strand’s €1,000 Grand Finale on Saturday, November afternoon when Radio Kerry broadcasted live from Manor West Shopping Centre in Tralee.

To celebrate the launch of Lee Strand’s new 100% Renewable & 100% Recyclable carton, Lee Strand and Radio Kerry called at random to homes in Kerry from Monday, October 14th until Friday, November 1st.

The finalists qualified if Lee Strand’s new 100% Renewable carton was in their fridge. All finalists received a hamper filled with Lee Strand products and were invited to attend the Grand Finale to be in with a chance to win €1,000.

On Saturday the finalists who attended the Grand Finale were all asked to select a Lee Strand 100% Renewable Carton at random. Francis Jones from Radio Kerry then explained to the finalists to twist the cap to see which carton had the Renewable sticker inside the cap.

Louise Morrison from Cois Abhainn, Tralee had the lucky carton and was announced the winner. Speaking at the Grand Finale Louise stated “I am absolutely delighted, we always drink Lee Strand milk in our house. The €1,000 is going to make Christmas so special for my kids.”

The finalists who attended on Saturday were: Joan Kenny, Ballyheigue; Anne Evans, Tralee; Rose Kennedy, Dingle; Margaret Browne, Castleisland; Ms Dara Knightly, Annascaul; Mary McCarthy; Killarney; Louise Morrisson, Tralee; Michelle McCarthy, Rathmore; Deirdre O Connor, Listowel; Martina  O’Shea, Cahersiveen; Lynda McCarthy, Abbeydorney; Robert Allen, Killarney and Peter Hanly, Kenmare.

There were lots prizes to be won on the day including hampers, half zips and t-shirts. Kids also enjoyed Mighty Mikey Milk and they also got the opportunity to milk Rosie Lee Strand’s interactive milking cow.
