TRALEE people enjoyed a nice windfall thanks to RTE this weekend as two women scooped €20,000 between them on the station’s flagship chat shows.
The final ‘Late Late Show’ of the season saw Ryan Tubridy handing out sums of €10,000 to members of the public who entered their weekly competition.
One of the winners was Eleanor Curtin from Tralee who was delighted when Ryan called her to tell her the good news.
When asked how she would spend it, Eleanor said her daughters would no doubt help her.
Then on Saturday night, Brendan O’Connor was presenting the last ever ‘Saturday Night Show’ and it was a very fond farewell for one Tralee woman.
The Cork man signed off by handing over €10,000 to Tralee woman Pauline Lyons who was only delighted to accept the prize.
Not a bad weekend for ladies!
