THE man who won €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus on Tuesday in Tralee collected his winnings today at National Lottery Headquarters.
The hardworking dad, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at the Clifford & Sons Gala store in Mounthawk in Tralee and now plans on buying a house.
“My family and I are living in rented accommodation at the moment so the first thing we will do is buy a house locally with some beautiful views of Kerry,” he beamed.
‘This win couldn’t come at a better time. On the day of the draw, we went to look at some second hand cars and we were haggling over a hundred euro on the price! I think we will be able to afford a new one now,” he smiled.
“I’m still in a complete daze since I found out that I had won. I always believed that buying lottery tickets was like buying a dream. Everybody likes to dream about winning the lottery but to actually go through the winning process is like nothing you could ever imagine.”
