TRIBUTES have been paid to Timmy Sheehan who passed away yesterday.

The Austin Stacks clubman was known far and wide for his contributions, commentary and analysis of sport on Radio Kerry, his writing in The Kerryman newspaper and a glittering club career for the Rockies.

On the Austin Stacks club’s website, a tribute read; “There was sorrow and disbelief throughout the county and beyond on Tuesday afternoon when news broke of the sudden death of Timmy Sheehan”. The writer went on to list Timmy’s achievements on and off the field since the 1960s. (click here for full tribute)
