The local TUI branch officers will offer information, support and valuable advice for people embarking on a career in teaching. Mr. Colm Kelly, Assistant General Secretary of the TUI will also be in attendance to answer queries.

The TUI Credit Union, which provides a range of financial products including mortgages at a competitive lower rate of interest to TUI members, will also be represented.

“Those attending are required to present their Teaching Council membership card or Higher Diploma Student Card on the evening,” explained Celia O’Shea, Recruitment Officer with the Kerry Branch of TUI.

“The TUI promotes equalisation of pay between new and senior teachers. We support new teachers on entitlements to hours in their subject area. Members of the union can seek reassurance before signing contracts from year to year and avail of advice and other supports,” Celia stated.
