WE all make mistakes…but that was a very public one.
With Kerry creating history on Sunday by taking part in the Leinster Championship on Sunday, RTE decided to cover the story on the Six-One news yesterday.
Joe Stack was down interviewing Ciaran Carey for the piece during the week but, unfortunately, it looks like somebody loaded the wrong video into the VCR over in Montrose.
John Meyler was featured as Kerry trainer, rather than Limerick legend Ciaran Carey who took over last year, and it said they were preparing for the Christy Ring final. It also featured Colin Harris, who retired some years back and Darragh O’Connell who now plays his hurling for Dublin.
In case any of you get on the RTE Player for a look, you won’t find it as the segment has been edited out. Let’s hope the up to date report is aired tonight.
Twitter, as always, was quick to point out the flaw…
@rtenews what we’re ye at 🙈🙈 it really was throwback Thursday for the Kerry hurlers! #joke
