LISTOWEL Race Company officially announced details of not one – but TWO – spectacular Best Dressed Events to be held on the racecourse over the forthcoming Harvest Racing Festival which takes place from September 19-25.

Making a most welcome return again this year, is one of Ireland’s most prestigious best dressed events – the McElligotts Honda Ladies Day which will be held on the racecourse on Friday 24th of September.

Judged by style icon Celia Holman Lee, it has an overall cash prize fund of €1,000. She will be on course at 1.30pm and will select 10 finalists.

The overall McElligotts Honda Best Dressed Lady will receive €500; the McElligotts Honda Best Headpiece €250 and the McElligotts Honda Most Contemporary New Season look will receive €250.

The winners will be announced at approximately 4.30pm and presented with their prizes by sponsors Declan O’Hara, MD McElligotts Tralee and Donal Lynch, McElligotts Tralee and Pat Healy, the Chairman of Listowel Race Company.

Due to Covid restrictions, the limited number of tickets are now sold out for Friday, so to give an opportunity to those who love both the style and incredible ambience of racing in Listowel, the Directors and Sponsors have created a new event – the McElligotts Honda Most Stylish Racegoers, which will be held on the racecourse on the opening day of the festival, Sunday 19th of September.

Judged by fashion blogger, Emily O’Donoghue, aka @fashionablyfortyish, there will be cash prizes for both male and female winners.

Emily will be on course from 1.30pm looking for 5 male and 5 female finalists. The overall winner (one male and one female) will be announced at 4.30pm and each receive €400 cash prize.

With reduced capacities in place this year due to Covid 19 restrictions, and only 2,000 tickets available for each day of the festival, racegoers are advised to book now online to avoid disappointment on www.listowelraces.ie
