TWO people who make a fantastic contribution to camogie in Kerry were honoured in Croke Park at the Camogie Association Awards on Saturday night

Margaret Carroll of Cillard Camogie Club was the Kerry recipient of a “Volunteer of the Year” Award and Kerry PRO Risteárd Ó Fuaráin received the ‘PRO of the Year” award.

The event was an opportunity for the Camogie Association to recognise those involved at grassroots level and MC for the night was RTE’s Eileen Dunne.

The PRO Award is named after Eileen’s father, the late RTÉ GAA Commentator, Mick Dunne. President of the Camogie Association, Kathleen Woods, paid tribute to those who work to promote the game throughout Ireland and overseas and thanked them for their commitment.
