Ultan Dillane.

TRALEE man Ultan Dillane has been named in Joe Schmidt’s Irish rugby squad for their first two matches in the Six Nations.

The 25 year old Connacht player is included in the 38-man squad, just as he was last year. However, his involvement in squad was cut short due to the tragic loss of his mother Ellen.

Ultan has committed to Connacht for the next two years after he signed a two year contract extension that will keep him at the Sportsground up to the end of the 2020/21 season.

The former Tralee RFC player, has made 11 appearances for Ireland, first coming on against England in 2016. His last cap came against Fiji in November 2017.
