AN update on the survival of the 11 Debenhams stores in Ireland, including the one in Manor West Retail Park, was put back to next month at the High Court yesterday.

In May, Debenhams Retail Ireland Limited (DRIL) applied for court protection after the Debenhams UK withdrew financial support.

In June the examiner extended the amount of time to produce a survival scheme to save the 11 Debenhams stores in Ireland which the company employs 1,400 staff in Ireland.

Yesterday, an application was made by the examiner Kieran Wallace to extend this time again until August 19 to allow for the finalisation of the report. All stores remain open at this time.
