Members of the Middle East Kerry Society (MEKS) team getting ready for their match against a Dubai team last week.

YOU can take the man out of Kerry but it seems you can never take Kerry out of the man, if the video from the ‘Middle East Kerry Society’ (MEKS) is anything to go by.

The team are preparing to compete in the ‘GAA World Games Tournament’ which will be taking place from March 5-March 7 in Abu Dhabi where they will face off against teams from North America, Asia, Canada and the Middle East.

MEKS which was founded in 2011 by those who had emigrated across the Gulf from Kerry features over 30 players.

The group have taken it upon themselves to add another piece from home to their luggage as they play their games in their very own ‘Middle East Kerry Jerseys’ which features their very own Kerry crest, but with a middle eastern twist.

The video is set to some highly dramatic music as the lads train in traditional GAA style and prepare for their upcoming games.

Tommy Walsh, who recently made his own return from abroad to play for ‘The Kingdom’ took the time out to wish the lads luck as well.

You can check out both videos down below…it’s sure to stir the GAA spirit.
