A STRAIGHT-TALKING 90 year old mart employee, Eugene (Eugie) O’Sullivan, is a legend in Kenmare.
A surprise 90th birthday party was thrown for the local character in Kenmare Mart where the Irish Examiner recorded fantastic a video (below) of Eugie speaking about his life.
Not a man to be messed with, it might not be the best idea to get on the wrong side of the colourful widower and his black stick.
Eugie, has worked at Kenmare mart for the last 11 years, since he was 79. He is currently the country’s oldest livestock employee and from the looks of it there are plenty more years left in him yet!
