IT was another memorable night at the Rose of Tralee Festival annual parade on Saturday as thousands lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the glamorous Roses.
Just before 9pm, the parade led by Dáithí Ó Sé and current Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh, made its way down Boherbee and to the town centre with Dáithí geeing up the crowd and getting the atmosphere going.
They were followed by colourful participants in amazing costumes and of course the Roses themselves who waved and danced their way to the top of Denny Street where MC for the evening, John Drummey and Elaine Kinsella provided a running commentary on the participants and interviews with the Roses.
It was then party time as Roses, Escorts and Rosebuds danced and enjoyed the fireworks which provided a spectacular end to the night’s proceedings.
We were there taking photos and filming the event so watch the highlights of the parade in a 2½ minute video, followed below by images from the night (we’ll have loads more tomorrow)…
