OH what a night!
An incredible crowd, amazing performances and fantastic fun was the order of the night in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel for the second St Pat’s GAA ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ event on Friday.

A crowd of 550 people crammed into the venue to watch the 12 couples dance their hearts out for the honour of being crowned champions for 2014 and to raise funds for the construction of an all-weather pitch for the club.
The judges, Alison Fitzgerald, Terry O’Brien and Margaret Brick had a hard job deciding who had best moves but in the end there could be only one couple…well, two really.
David Kerins and Denise Shanahan won the judges award for being the best dancers, but the Overall Award decided by the public, was won by Niamh Daly and Luke Mulligan.
It’s estimated around €10,000 was raised from the night which will go towards the construction of the new pitch which will begin early in the new year and will be finished by late spring.
Well done to all on a great night.
