THE rain put a dampener on Thursday night’s entertainment around town, but some people still managed to get out and about before the real action kicks off tonight.
Every seat was taken in the Square for The Showband Show where Ronan Collins, Red Hurley, Tommy and Jimmy Swarbrigg and many more entertained a crowd that was considerably older than what’s expected tonight for Hometown and Reggie N Bollie.
Over outside AIB in Castle Street, it was a whole different kind of music with Blaming Hannah, Small Town Crisis and Beautiful Corruption blasting out rock tunes. Officer O’Malley, the Keystone Kop, was also on duty entertaining those present.

Meanwhile, up at the Ashe Memorial Hall, the ‘digital mapping’ of the building is really impressive and is a must-see during the Festival. It only takes about five minutes and is repeated just a few minutes after it ends.
