IT was a miserable Christmas morning weatherwise, but that didn’t deter the hundreds of swimmers who made the annual dash into the cold waters of Fenit.
Well over a thousand people gathered at the beach to either take part in or watch the swim which again was in aid of the RNLI.
The rain spat down as Santa and Mrs Claus rang the bell on the water’s edge and hundreds sped into the waves.
There were screams of laughter (and no small amount of pain I’d say) as they splashed about for a few seconds before dashing out again.
There would be two more surges from the crowds into the Atlantic before retreating to the rocks for welcoming towels and hot drinks.
A great way to blow away the cobwebs and prepare for the turkey later.
