IT was too close to call in Ballyroe last night for the St Brendan’s Hurling Club ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ event.
There were dancers from Ardfert, Crotta, Kilmoyley, Fenit, Cork and the general catchment area, taking part and a sellout crowd watched an amazing night’s entertainment in the hotel venue, expertly MC’d by Murt Murphy.
Well known sportsman, Stephen Wallace, Radio Kerry/TraleeToday.ie hurling reporter, Mike O’Halloran, beauty expert Mary O’Donnell and Radio Kerry’s Tim Moynihan were the judges, who couldn’t decide on a winner between Stephanie Lyne/Kevin Orpen and Joanna O’Driscoll/Chris Sheehan.

So it went to a dance off and eventually, Stephanie and Kevin were declared the winners. In the public vote the silky moves of Maurice McElligott and Mary Fitzgerald impressed the most. A fantastic night then with the club benefitting from the proceeds.
