A LOCAL woman has asked people to give her a hand in helping to clean up rubbish which has been washed up on the old steam railway line between Blennerville and Tralee.

Catherine Dolan from Knockmoyle took photos and posted the extent of the piles of waste strewn over a wide area on the line on the ‘Tralee Do You Know’ Facebook page. It’s thought the rubbish washed up during recent high tides and flooding.

Catherine said they would be gathering in the parking area by The Station House this Friday at 3pm. They will have bags, pickers, and gloves. The Station House has offered complimentary teas and coffees to the volunteers on the day.
