There will be dense fog in Kerry tonight.
MET Éireann has issued a Code Level Orange fog warning for Kerry for tonight and tomorrow.
Fog is expected to be dense in Kerry overnight and is expected to linger in some areas until noon tomorrow. This, coupled with low temperatures, will create difficult conditions for motorists.
Kerry County Council is asking motorists to drive with extra care, to use fog lights as required and to allow additional time for journeys. Pedestrians and cyclists should wear high-visibility clothing, use lighting and take due care if they are out and about.
As low temperatures persist, motorists should also be wary of frost and ice patches on roads overnight and in the morning. The warning is valid until noon on Thursday.
