Warriors Prepare For Super League Title Defence At Pre-Season Tournament

GARVEY’S Tralee Warriors preparations for the upcoming Super League season step up a gear this weekend when they host a pre-season tournament tomorrow, Saturday September 7, at the Tralee Sports Complex.

The reigning Super League champions will welcome National League Division One sides Ballincollig and EJ Sligo All Stars as well as League rivals Neptune for a great day of basketball action at the home of the Warriors.

The Warriors will take on EJ Sligo All Stars at 1.30pm with Ballincollig and Neptune going head to head in an all-Cork clash at 3.30pm.

The losers will then play off at 6.00pm with the winners going on to a final showdown at 8.00pm.

Admission to the Tralee Sports Complex is by a Day Pass which will cost €5.00 for adults and €3.00 for children. The Day Pass entitles holders to admission to any or all games on the day. Season ticket holders will be admitted to the event for free.

The event provides the Warriors’ faithful fans with their first opportunity to see their heroes in action since the dramatic season ending weekend in March as well as a chance to check out the Warriors squad for the season ahead.

Garvey’s Tralee Warriors will begin the upcoming Super League campaign on Saturday 21stSeptember with a mouth-watering clash with their archrivals UCD Marian. Tip off at the Tralee Sports Complex is 7.30pm.

The fixture pits the 2018 and 2019 Super League champions together following on from the unforgettable double header between the sides on the final weekend of last season that ultimately saw the Warriors claim their first Super League title.
