However, Garvey’s Tralee Warriors winning run came to end last night up in Dublin when they were beaten by newly crowned champions, Templeogue.

It went right down to the last 20 seconds when the scores were 94-93 in favour of the home side. But Templeogue’s Mike Bonaparte netted two from the line to give Templeogue their first title.

It was a great performance from the visitors who raced into an early 17-31 point lead, but a strong second quarter for Templeogue, saw them close the gap to 48-54 by the halfway point.

The third quarter saw Templeogue come back and Warriors led by just one 74-73 going into the final period.

The Dublin side hit the front in the fourth quarter and held on to spark wild celebrations in the packed hall.

Leading scorers for Warriors on the night were Trae Pemberton (24) Kieran Donaghy (21) and Dusan Bogdanovic (12).
