ARDFERT Youth Club has entered a short film competition as part of the Irish Cancer Society’s X-HALE Youth Awards 2018 which aims to prevent young people from smoking.
To win they need the most views of their film on YouTube. In the video, when two girls buy cigarettes off an older boy, they share them between their friends, but Rory won’t smoke. When he gives into peer pressure and something bad happens, will his friends stand by him?
Last year, Club Óg Ógras Baile Uí Thuaidhg was awarded the prize for Best Community Campaign at the Awards so the Ardfert pupils will want to emulate their neighbours.
