A WEST Kerry man has just released a new single and is looking forward to gigging in the county during the summer.

Vinnie Flynn who goes by the ‘Bayonets’ moniker is an Annascaul native making music in Dublin. His distinctive style is a mix of alternative rock, indie, blues and folk.

He has just released the video for his new single ‘This Old Coast’. It’s a brooding, gothic tale of a man haunted and pursued by a mysterious female figure as you can see below.

He played Tralee for the first time last August on the SQ stage for the Rose Of Tralee festival and says it was a great experience, with many of his buddies from west Kerry coming in to support him.

He’s back in Kerry again for K-Fest in Killorglin on June 3 if you want to catch him.

The video was premiered with Hot Press last week and the response has been amazing so far says Vinnie. The track will be available on iTunes from March 16.

His debut single’ Slow Burning Fire’ was premiered in June 2017 by Hot Press Magazine and has received wide media acclaim.

The track has received regular radio play on RTE’s 2fm and it’s made’s song of the day, it’s even hit airwaves as far as Brooklyn, United States. If you’re in Dublin you can catch Vinnie playing Siné on the March 31st.
