EVERYONE in Tralee GAA circles knows Jack Barry of Na Gaeil is a serious footballer.

Well he was over in Seattle at the weekend showing his skills to a wider audience, helping Ulster Club from San Francisco beat Vancouver in the Men’s Senior USGAA final 2016.

Each year on Labor Day weekend, the North American Board holds a championship for the North American clubs in all U.S. cities where GAA sports are played.

Well Jack certainly impressed, especially with this one-handed catch (below) that Kieran Donaghy would be proud of, before running upfield, giving a thunderous shoulder and passing to a team mate to score a point. It got a lot of attention on social media thanks to Jerome Quinn’s video.

Jack’s brother, Andrew, won a Junior All-Ireland medal this summer and was drafted into training with the Kerry senior team, while clubmen Diarmaid O’Connor and Stefan Okunbor are starring for the Kerry minors. There’s some serious talent at the Oakpark club these days…
