KERRY fans travelling to Cork against the ‘Rebels’ at the weekend have been urged to be careful where they park or they could be lighter in the pocket come Sunday evening.

Residents near the Pairc Uí Rinn stadium, where the match is being held, have complained that they feel under siege as the thousands of match-goers converge on their area.

Those who do not comply with parking rules face the prospect of fines or the possibility of their car being impounded.

The stadium, which has played host to the big games since Páirc Uí Chaoimh closed for a €70 million revamp, is located in a heavily residential area which leaves many homes and driveways blocked up on match day.

So leave on time and park sensibly is the message to all fans.

The image of Cork being ‘under siege’ is one that the Kerry fans hope will be translated to on the field and not the estates as we look to continue our good form in the league.
