BALLYGARRY House Hotel turned 60 this week and they are quite rightly celebrating this wonderful milestone.

The hotel, which began life as ‘The Manhattan Hotel’, opened its doors on November 14, 1958, and it has become a much-loved venue for all occasions over the years.

This week they posted up a video on social media showing how three generations of the one Tralee family have had their wedding receptions there over the past 60 years.

Back in June of 1959, Jerry Moriarty and Marie Murphy held their reception at the hotel. The connection was made and in February of 1982, Jerry and Marie’s daughter Catherine married Patrick Walsh and again the Manhattan was the venue.

Fast forward to September of this year and Catherine and Patrick’s daughter Catriona Walsh completed the hat-trick of family weddings when she and fiancé Frank Ryall enjoyed their reception at the famed hotel. You can watch their story below…
