IF you had been planning any sort of major outdoor event this bank holiday weekend, you might want to think again with the weather set to take a turn for the worst over the next few days.
We’re hesitant to use the term ‘complete washout’ but we would definitely be advising that you bring your brollies when venturing out, if the latest weather reports from Met Eireann are to be believed.
Here is your three-day weather forecast for this coming weekend:
SATURDAY
Saturday morning is expected to dry with sunny spells expected in the morning (hurrah!).
Large cloudcover will be on its way however as the day progresses, with heavy rains to be expected to hit us tomorrow, right around the afternoon time (boo!).
These rains will continue into the night but are expected to clear up as the clouds head east. Temperatures are expected to stay somewhere in between 11-14 degrees Celsius.
SUNDAY
Sunday will again start mainly dry, but again heavy showers are expected to become more widespread in the afternoon with cool temperatures set to top out at 11-13 degrees Celsius.
MONDAY
Monday is set to be a very miserable day indeed, with heavy rain set to be down for the day, only really starting to clear late on Monday night.
There will be a strong and gusty southerly wind so it is advised to stay well wrapped up. Temperatures will remain rather cool, ranging between 10-12 degrees Celsius for the day.
So there you have it. Mind you, they’re awful drama queens over there in the Met Office. We’re sureĀ it won’t be that bad…sure it won’t?!
