That Weather Warning For Kerry Just Got Worse

YESTERDAY Met Eireann issues a Yellow Status Rainfall Warning for Kerry and 13 other counties to take effect today.

Well things got worse this morning when the status was elevated to Orange for Kerry, Cork and Waterford.

Rain will turn heavy and persistent this afternoon and persist for a time overnight.

Rainfall totals of 30-40mm are expected widely with potential for accumulations of
around 50mm in coastal and upland areas.

The rain will be accompanied by strong and gusty southerly winds. The warning is valid from 12 noon on Saturday to 3am on Sunday morning. Kerry County Council is urging motorists in particular to exercise caution this afternoon and overnight.
