Well Known Novelist For Free Literary Evening At The Rose Hotel

IF you’re looking for something to do this evening, then a trip to The Rose Hotel could prove very entertaining.

Well known novelist, Carmel Harrington is the second guest as part of the Listowel Writers Week’s free Literary Evenings at the hotel and she’ll be interviewed by Radio Kerry’s Deirdre Walsh.

Carmel is an award-winning novelist from Wexford. Her seventh novel, ‘A Thousand Roads Home’ was included in the annual Irish Times Books of 2018, chosen by fellow authors. The book deals with homelessness in Ireland and the one of the central characters has Aspergers.

She’ll be talking about the writing process, and about her work on the popular TV series ‘Cold Feet’. It takes place from 8pm to 9.30pm, admission is free with no reservation required.

It’s the second of four events with next Wednesday, January 30 seeing ‘Condemned to Remember my life as a Holocaust Survivor’ author Tomi Reichental and finally Wednesday, February 6, Stephen James Smith will be in the hotel.
