Tralee Bay Wetlands will host a special concert this Friday.

THE award-winning chamber choir Opus ’96 will present “Song For Ireland” as part of the Easter 1916 Commemorations on Friday evening, April 22, at 8pm at Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre.

Music fans can expect a wonderful selection of the best of Irish melodies under the direction of Martina Egan and Renee Fitzgibbon.

There will be some fresh new arrangements as promised, songs such as ‘Song For Ireland’ and ‘Carrickfergus’.

Annually since 1999, Opus ’96 have been commissioned by the Management of Muckross House Killarney to perform Christmas concerts for the trustees and patrons.

This year, as part of Killarney’s 1916 Commemorations, Muckross House have invited Opus 96 to perform “Song for Ireland” in late Spring.

As Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre is Tralee’s newest tourist attraction, Opus 96 are delighted to be singing there.

Tickets for concert are €10

They are available from choir members and at Wetlands Centre.

Chef Dave O’ Leary will be on hand offering a selection of pre-concert Main Courses or Lite Bites for €10 so why not come along early – enjoy excellent food and a glass of vino followed by a great night’s entertainment.
