Wettest October In 12 Years Recorded At Valentia Observatory

IT was a very wet October in these parts going by the latest stats from Valentia Observatory.

Met Éireann has released its Climate Statement for October which shows Valentia recorded 49.1mm of rain on Monday, October 19 making it the wettest day in the country last month.

It also saw 228.1mm of rainfall in the month which was the highest in the country in October and the most for that month at Valentia since 2008. Valentia recorded the second lowest number of sunshine hours at 95. Only Malin Head was lower at 79 hours.
