Applegreen at Manor Village is the joint cheapest in town for petrol and diesel.

WE checked out where the cheapest petrol price in town was three weeks ago and €1.28.9 was the lowest we found at Nolan’s Esso on North Circular Road and ‘Top’ at Manor.

In that short space of time, a quick drive around to the stations on Wednesday morning revealed a six cent drop on that figure.

The cheapest places to fill up in Tralee now are the Applegreen stations in Fairies Cross and Manor Village at a price of €1.22.8 per litre.

Coming up just behind Applegreen are ‘Top’ in the Horan Centre and the ‘Inver’ station on the Castlemaine Road with a price of €1.22.9.

Then comes Nolan’s Esso on North Circular Road, Joe O’Connor’s Esso at Clash and Topaz in Manor on €1.23.9.

Five stations are priced €1.24.9. These include the well known garages, Kelliher’s of Rathass and McElligotts Oakpark along with O’Shea’s Texaco station in Blennerville, Amber just outside the entrance to Shanakill and Topaz  in Mounthawk also feature as one of the five more expensive places to fill up in Tralee.
