DETAILS of local pubs and hotels that will play host to the Roses, their families and supporters while they are in Tralee for next month’s 60 Year celebrations of the Rose of Tralee International Festival have been announced.
On Sunday, August 25, between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, the Roses themselves will get to relax in the various 19 pubs following the razzmatazz of the parade earlier in the afternoon.
The general public are welcome to go along and meet the Roses, take a selfie, grab an autograph and enjoy a refreshing drink and some food in great company on the day and throughout the festival.

Each of the pubs has made a generous contribution towards the €340,000 cost of staging the street entertainment aspect of the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
The Communications Manager for the Rose of Tralee International Festival, John Drummey, said: “Pubs in Tralee have long played a key role in the story of the Rose of Tralee International Festival since it began in 1959. The founding fathers of the festival gathered in Harty’s Bar to plan the first Festival over 60 years ago. We are grateful to the current generation of publicans who have all increased their sponsorship of this year’s Rose Pub Twinning event.”
The pubs will be the “homes” to the families and supporters of the Roses for the duration of the Festival.
The 2019 Rose of Tralee International Festival runs from Friday 23rd to Tuesday 27th August and full details of the Pub Twinning, Street Entertainment and Dome Events are available from www.roseoftralee.ie
