A Wild Time For Entrepreneurs In IT Tralee

THE innovative Wild Atlantic Startup event (WASup) is on its way to Kerry on Friday October 17th.

WASup Kerry will be run in association with the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (CEED) at Institute of Technology, Tralee Friday.

WASup is the brainchild of Shane McCarthy, CEO of BlueChief, which aims to create a startup network along Ireland’s West Coast while showcasing the already thriving technology businesses operating from the region.

The events all along the Wild Atlantic Way are focussed on knowledge sharing and networking with some of Ireland’s leading startup mentors, advisers and of course, successful Irish entrepreneurs.

Confirmed speakers include a list of well known entrepreneurs, academics and business advisors including; Edmond Harty of DairyMaster, Aoife Ni Mhuiri of Salaso, Bernie Goldbach of LIT, Cristina Luminea of Thoughtbox, Paul Hayes of Beachhut PR, Iseult Ward of FoodCloud, Gillian Horan of The Pudding, Chris Byrne of SensorPro, Ian Lucey of Lucey, Ed Fidgeon-Kavanagh of ClearPreso, Breda O’Dwyer of CEED, Eamon Fitzgerald of Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, Lisa Maree Domican of GraceApp Communications.

Speaking at the launch of WASup Kerry, WASup Founder Shane McCarthy said; “The Wild Atlantic Way is not just for visitors – it is a great place to work and live. WASup aims to showcase the region as the place to locate technology centred industries where companies and employees can benefit from and be inspired by the Wild Atlantic lifestyle”.
