Wind Warning Downgraded To Status Yellow For Kerry

MET Eireann has downgraded its wind warning to Status Yellow for Kerry for the rest of the day.

The Status Orange wind warning was supposed to stay in effect until the early hours of Sunday morning but it appears Storm Jorge isn’t as bad as was feared.

The Status Yellow warning is in effect until 10pm tonight. Strong and gusty winds associated with Storm Jorgewill continue before easing later tonight. Southwest winds veering westerly will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h and gusts of 90 to 110km/h, higher in exposed places until 6pm.
