THE annual Kerry Education & Training Board Christmas Card Art Competition saw over 200 entries from their eight Post Primary Schools throughout Kerry.
As always the standard was very high, but there can be only one overall winner with three runners up selected and they were invited to Kerry ETB Head Office on Friday where they were presented with their prizes by Ann O’Dwyer, Director of Schools.
The overall winner was Katie O’Connor, a 3rd year student at Castleisland Community College, who received a Samsung Tablet sponsored by Hugh Culloty Expert, The Mall, Tralee.

“Every card submitted demonstrated great artistic talent in our schools and we are very proud to display all the entries here at our offices in Centrepoint, Tralee for everyone to enjoy and admire,” said Ann O’Dwyer.
“We want to thank every student who entered the competition as their art work has brightened up the offices during this festive season and I invite people to come view the cards on display.”
The winning card was sponsored and printed by Kingdom Printers and will be circulated all over the country as the official Kerry ETB Christmas Card.
Kerry ETB thanked all the students who took part and their art teachers for their enthusiasm and interest.
Kerry ETB would also like to thank again Kingdom Printers, Hugh Culloty and O’Mahonys who helped make the Kerry ETB Christmas Card Competition such a success this year. Finally and most importantly, Kerry ETB would like to congratulate the winners.
