A WOMAN was arrested under the Mental Health Act 2018 in Tralee yesterday, after it is alleged she attempted to take a baby from a buggy, while the child’s mother was present.
The Garda Press Office says officers attended the scene of an incident on the North Circular Road at around 12.30pm.
It’s alleged the woman tried to remove a baby from their buggy there and later again at Dunnes Stores nearby.
Store security and staff came to the mother’s aid and the Gardaí were called. The woman was arrested and is receiving medical attention.
