IRISH Water and Kerry County Council plan to commence work next week on the replacement of one kilometre of defective 100MM watermain in Kilfenora, Fenit.
The pipe will be laid from the junction near the old railway bridge westwards along the R558 main road. Traffic lights will be in operation during each working day from 8am to 5-30pm.
It is anticipated that the works will be ongoing until early January. The works have been welcomed by local councillors Mikey Sheehy and Deirdre Ferris.
