Young Tralee Musician Gets Nice National Exposure

WE’VE known about the talents of Seamus Harty for a while in Tralee, but today he got a bit of exposure on a national news website.

The 16 year old singer/songwriter was featured in a story on by Tralee woman, Anna O’Donoghue. The website has around 490,000 like for its Facebook page and 44,000 twitter followers so that’s a good plug.

He was highlighted in the story as one to watch due to his undoubted talent and featured videos of his songs from Facebook and Instagram.

Seamus, the son of Roger Harty and Bríd Murphy, is a fifth year in Mercy Mounthawk can be seen busking from time to time in town and beyond, as well as acting recently in ‘My Fair Lady’ on the Siamsa stage.

One of his videos posted on the Love Tralee/Save Tralee Facebook page has registered nearly 60,000 views.

He has also come to the attention of Paul Galvin in the past week when he tweeted and instagrammed about him. Who knows what’s next for Seamus.
