WE are all victims of routine. We all like what is familiar.
Even though sometimes we dip our toes to test out what is different, eventually that is adopted to our routine as well.
Recently, instead of dipping my toes in, I actually travelled across the water to America. Not only was this one of the most amazing experiences of my life, but it also taught me a lot about the need for adventure.
I don’t care if you believe that God created the world or if you believe that the Big Bang is the culprit, the point of the matter is that there is a whole world out there, just waiting to be explored.
Every human in the world contains 99.9 percent of the exact same DNA, and that little 0.1 percent is what makes us different. But this tiny difference, holds different cultures and nationalities. Do you not want to experience them too?
I personally plan on going on a very long and perfectly unplanned road trip across America, because I want to have those memories. I want to feel the thrill of adventure because I really don’t think there is anything like it.
Also, I would like to say that you don’t have to be in your 20s to experience the world. I know settling down is pretty popular, but no matter what age you are; it shouldn’t stop you from going on the odd adventure.
Life really is too short to just continue doing the same old thing day in, day out.
I’m not asking you to move to Antartica or anything; but I think that we are lucky enough to be alive right now, why not make your life an extraordinary one?
I am also aware that people don’t have a whole pile of money at the moment (not since 2007 anyways), so I think that anywhere outside your front garden will probably suffice?
Have you ever been out to the Blasket Island before? Or maybe you haven’t ever laid eyes on the famous Fungi?
Why don’t you head out and do all these things? Is there really anytime like the present?
I’m not going to make any reference to YOLO, don’t worry.
