Another Big Lottery Win In Kerry Last Night

AFTER the mega €500,000 win in Tralee on Friday in the Euromillions, another player who bought their  ticket for Saturday night’s Lotto draw is celebrating another big win.

A Lotto player in Dingle matched five numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw to win an incredible €192,994.

The lucky player from Dingle picked their own favourite numbers on a Normal Play ticket which they purchased on Tuesday 21st November at Garvey’s SuperValu in Dingle.

The winning numbers in last night’s (Saturday 16th December) Lotto draw were: 07, 09, 13, 23, 34, 36 and the bonus 25.

A player in Tralee won the top prize of €500,000 in Friday’s EuroMillions Plus draw with a ticket they purchased in Tesco in Tralee town.

THE town was packed on both Friday and Saturday night as the busiest weekend for Christmas parties was upon us.

The hotels, bars and restaurants did a roaring trade and it was great to experience the party atmosphere with just a week to go until Christmas.

‘CAROLS By Candlelight’ was performed by the pupils of Glenderry NS in St Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue on Wednesday evening front of a packed Church.

All classes in the school performed, accompanied by Ann O’Mahony and James Moore, the school’s music teachers.

Juniors to second classes were on stage first where they sang three Carols and hymns together. Firstly, Rule the World, followed by Away in a Manger, and Dear Santa.

Then Ms Corridon’s class continued with Mary had a baby, Ten Little Angels, Little Drummer Boy, Children Gather Round & Sing/Dia do Bheatha and finished their performance with Feliz Navidad.

Then it was the turn of the Senior Classes, 3rd to 6th classes and they sang One Toy Soldier, Nearly Christmas, What a Glorious Night, Oiche Ciúin, and they completed their evening with a Christmas Medley of Winter Wonderland, White Christmas, Rudolf the Re-nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is coming to town, Jingle Bells.

Finally they wished everyone present a Happy Christmas in English, Polish, Ukranian and Spanish.

The consensus afterwards was that it was a most enjoyable evening and that the church was a beautiful setting for the harmonious singing of our excellent children. Scroll down for photos…
