THE future of Austin Stacks is in rude health after their Under 21s won the Acorn County U21 Football Championship Final last night at Austin Stack Park.
St Brendans provided the opposition, featuring players from Ardfert, Kerins O’Rahillys, John Mitchels, Na Gaeil and Churchill, but it was the club side who proved the stronger.
The Rockies led by nine points at the break (2-8 to 0-5) — with goals from Daniel Kirby and Damien Hogan — which set them up nicely for an eventual 2-12 to 0-10 victory.
The James Coffey Memorial Cup was presented to Austin Stacks Captain, Conor Horan by Patrick O’Sullivan, Chairman of Kerry GAA.
Conor Horan was also Man of the Match and was presented with his trophy by Eddie Enright of Ask Acorn, Championship Sponsors. Adrienne McLoughlin was there to take photos (below)…
