ULTAN Dillane is having a good week.

The former Tralee RFC player from Clahane was called up to the 35 man squad for the forthcoming Six Nations matches yesterday, but he also received another honour from his province on Wednesday.

With almost 60% of the votes, the Connacht lock Ultan Dillane was awarded the province’s the Player of the Month for December 2015, in association with Hartmanns of Galway and Seiko Watches.

The 6’ 6” 22-year-old has featured in ten games for Pat Lam’s side this season and started both home games in December against Newcastle and Ulster.

“We have known that Ultan was a great prospect for Connacht for some time and now he is getting recognition at another level in the Ireland squad,” said Richard Hartmann, Director of Hartmann Jewellers. “Everyone at Hartmanns is delighted for him and really pleased to be able to present him with his first Player of the Month award. I would say it’s the first of many.”

We’d say it will be!
