AUSTIN Stacks Under 15 boys will be representing the county at the John West Féile Peile na nÓg Division 1 finals next month and are hoping for the support of the community.
The boys successfully came through as Kerry Champions after winning the final late last month and now look forward to an unforgettable and, hopefully, successful trip for the boys.
However, that will be a long trip as the finals are on in Derry on June 27. The John West GAA Féile Peile na nÓg is a Club festival for Gaelic football and Ladies Gaelic football at Under 15 level, involving teams from across the country, teams from the UK and the USA and this year the Australasia U15 girls Gaelic football team will also compete.

It will be a huge undertaking for the Club to send the team and mentors to the finals and to that end, they have started a fundraising campaign to cover the considerable costs involved in providing playing and casual gear, buses to and from Derry, hotel accommodation for two nights along with food and hydration on both days.
“The fundraising is going very well and we’re taken aback at the unbelievable level of support of the community and businesses,” said Niall Lucey, Chairperson, Austin Stacks Feile na n-Og Fundraising Committee.
In fact, almost €8,000 of the club’s €12,000 target has been raised so far.
“It’s a nice football team and hopefully they will enjoy the experience of competing against the best teams in Ireland at Derry next month,” said Niall.
The club is respectfully asking for the community to support with their fundraising efforts to help offset the costs. The iDonate page can be accessed by clicking here.
