Launching the Paul Lucey Memorial Run/Walk For The Rock.

PAUL LUCEY MEMORIAL: Due to Covid 19 restrictions Paul Lucey’s Memorial Fun Run/Walk will be a bit different this year.  The event is going VIRTUAL and will be held over a 24 hour period on the Bank Holiday weekend, Sat 31st October-Sunday 1st November. Registration and event details can be seen on the Austin Stacks website.

U20 FOOTBALL: The best of luck to the Kerry U20s, including our own Dylan Casey, Michael O’Gara and Seán Quilter as they take on Galway in the All Ireland semi final in Limerick’s Gaelic Grounds on this coming Saturday (17th Oct). It will be exactly seven months to the day when both teams were to have played that semi final in Croke Park on St. Patrick’s Day but, as we all know, Covid 19 stepped into the fray and put an end to that. Saturday’s game throws in at 4pm and is live on TG4. The other semi final between Dublin and Tyrone goes ahead on the same day in Cavan’s Breffni Park at 2pm. To get to Saturday’s semi final Kerry had wins over Limerick (0-14 to 0-7) in the Munster semi played in Rathkeale (26th Feb) and against Cork in the Munster Final (0-17 to 1-9) in Austin Stack Park (4th March).

THE C TEAM: Our last Co. League game, at home to Annascaul, is still awaiting the lifting of the lock-down on Club games with no indication, as we write, as to when that might occur.
